How Can Positive Affirmations Change Your Life

What are positive affirmations?

An affirmative statement is one that is considered true. An affirmative statement or sentence is the one that would help you in some way, if you believed in it.

If for example you wish to become a more confident person, an affirmative statement for you might be:
"I am confident". "I speak my mind". "I am respected".

And so on and so forth. And the crazy thing is, if used correctly, speaking positive affirmations out loud to yourself can benefit you tremendously.

How do positive affirmations work?

Positive affirmations work because they hammer into your mind, given enough repetition, the thoughts you wish were your own. Gradually they will become your own, default thoughts. So, if you wish to be more confident to approach a woman, given enough repetition of the affirmations "I easily approach women", you will eventually feel confident enough and actually approach a cute woman you've been eyeing.

The best way affirmation work is when you speak them to yourself out loud, in front of a mirror. You would also get best results if you stand in a confident manner, with your body relaxed, which is easy to check in the mirror.

Smile! And most importantly, recite your selected affirmations when you are feeling good about yourself. If you are not, jump around a bit, laugh forcibly, and you will get in the mood.

Next, it is best to have specific times of the day to recite your affirmations to yourself. It is always suggested that the best times of the day are when you just woke up, and before you go to sleep.

Using this technique to better your life might take just minutes out of your busy schedule. Having that in mind, the cost of not trying them out for yourself, at least for three weeks by the end of which you should experience concrete results, is just too great.
